Chasing light, one journey at a time.

Travel is where I stop optimizing and start noticing. The camera came along one trip and never left. This page collects places that stayed with me and the frames they left behind.

Why I travel with a camera

My work rewards precision. Photography rewards patience. Standing still until the light does something interesting is the closest thing I know to the opposite of a trading day, and that contrast is exactly why I need it.

I gravitate toward early mornings, quiet streets and the geometry of ordinary places. Mountains and coastlines get their share too. I am less interested in landmarks than in the light that happens around them.

Every trip changes how I see the next one. That is the real souvenir.

A good photograph is a decision about what to leave out. So is a good model.

Been somewhere I should see?

I collect recommendations the way other people collect fridge magnets. Tell me where to point the camera next.
